NEGAUNEE–With the August 8th special primary quickly approaching, members of the public are making their final decisions about who they think will best serve the 109th district’s seat.

On Monday evening, ABC 10 held a forum with three of the democratic candidates to discuss important topics like education and skilled trade work in the community at Ronn Hall in Negaunee. Tom Curry, Sara Cambensy, and Jeremy Hosking were present, to explain their views and outlooks on issues locally and in the state.

“The field of candidates coming out of the democratic party are all strong, all labor friendly, we recognize that – we have stayed neutral in the primary race,” said Mike Thibault of the U.P Regional Labor federation. “But we thought, what better way to spotlight the candidates and let our membership see them?”

The 109th Democratic Forum was sponsored by the U.P. Regional Labor Federation, the Marquette County Democratic Party, 906 Dems, and Forward Action Michigan U.P. We will televise the hour long forum on ABC 10 the night before the primary, August 7th, at 7 pm eastern time.
