Walmart shoplifting suspect pleads not guilty

A 24-year-old man pled not guilty to charges relating to a Iron Mountain shoplifting incident.

Steven Gerow was arraigned Monday in Dickinson County Circuit Court.  He pled not guilty as habitual offender, third offense to three charges: two counts of first degree retail fraud and one second degree count.

Gerow was arrested in June after a fraud complaint was made from the Walmart in Iron Mountain.  Police say they recovered thousands of dollars in stolen merchandise from his home.

Gerow will be back in court September 8 for a preliminary exam.
