Woman arrested in connection with Soo Township stabbing
A Sault Ste. Marie woman is in jail tonight after being arrested in connection with a stabbing.
Jamie Crystal, 37, is charged with assault with intent to murder. She’s in the Chippewa County Jail on $25,000 bond. Her District Court preliminary exam is scheduled for August 11th.
The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Department says they got a call about a stabbing at a home in Soo Township late Monday night. The incident is believed to be a domestic disturbance. The victim’s injuries were severe but not life-threatening, and the suspect fled the scene before deputies arrived.
Police believe Crystal was the stabber, and they arrested her on Tuesday. The investigation is still ongoing.
