Meth house raided in Ishpeming

An Ishpeming woman is lodged in the Marquette County Jail after numerous meth components were found in her home during a police raid.

Ishpeming Police and members of the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team executed a search warrant in the 100 block of Summit Street on Thursday following a report of suspected meth house. Police personnel discovered two one-pot cooks, multiple meth components, and a loaded firearm while searching the home.

The Marquette County Prosecutor’s office will now review the case for appropriate charges.

Troopers from the Michigan State Police, and members of the Ishpeming Fire Department assisted at the scene.
