NMU football begins spring season

After posting a 4-7 record last season with wins over Grand Valley and Saginaw Valley, the Northern Michigan football team is now back on the field, at least for a couple of weeks.

The Wildcats began their spring football season on Monday. Today was day two of fifteen practices scheduled for the ‘Cats over the next three weeks.

Chris Ostrowsky is entering his second season as the head coach of the team. Just two days into spring practice, Ostrowsky can tell his players put in the extra effort in the off-season in order to improve their play on the field.

The Wildcats have two scrimmages planned over the next two and half weeks. The scrimmages are set for April 5 and 13.

NMU will host a lift-a-thon on April 19 at Vandament Arena. The spring season will conclude on Saturday, April 20 with the spring game.
