Woman Runs Over Drunk Friend in Escanaba
And the investigation is continuing into another accident.
In this one, a woman is in the hospital after being run over by her drunk friend this weekend.
Escanaba Public Safety says it happened just after 3am Sunday on the 1100 block of 2nd Avenue North.
The suspect allegedly got into an altercation with another person, then got into her car to drive away.
But police say she drove off before her passenger could get in the vehicle.
The passenger ended up getting run over by the driver.
The victim was taken to OSF St. Francis Hospital and then to Marquette General.
The driver was arrested for operating while intoxicated causing serious injury.
She was arraigned today in 94th District Court, but no names are being released at this time.
