Woman Faces Prison Time in Bogus Rape Case
A Gladstone woman accused of falsely reporting that she was raped and kidnapped pleads guilty to lesser charges.
27-year-old Amanda Miller-Tryan has pleaded to 2 counts of attempted false report of a felony.
There’s no sentencing date scheduled yet.
She’s facing up to 2 years, or a $1,000 fine, on each count.
In February of last year, Miller-Tryan told police she was violently sexually assaulted in Brampton Township more than once.
She also told police the attacker called her 2 days afterward and threatened to kill her if she told the authorities.
State police from the Gladstone Post said earlier in the case that after several days of investigating, it was clear to them that things didn’t add up.
They say Miller-Tryan later told them she made the whole thing up.
