Woman cited in two car accident
An Ishpeming woman was cited for careless driving following a two car accident Thursday morning in Marquette County.
Morgan Korpi, 19, was driving a 1992 Honda Civic westbound on Rail Street in Negaunee when she failed to stop at a stop sign at Division Street. She struck a northbound 2012 Jeep Laredo, driven by 56–year-old Jack Anderson of Negaunee.
The Negaunee Police Department says Korpi was traveling over the posted speed limit.
Korpi was transported to Bell Memorial Hospital for the treatment of unknown injuries.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
