Weekend U.P. Weather Forecast 2/6-9

Weekend U.P. Weather Forecast 2/6-9

A period of heavy snow is possible from Saturday into Saturday evening. Upper level disturbances will bring periods of snow across the northern Upper Michigan tonight through Saturday night. At the least, a few inches of snow will occur. There is also the possibility of a period of moderate to heavy snow Saturday afternoon into Saturday evening.

The heaviest snow would occur in the narrower swath though, and exact location of the heaviest snow is still uncertain. Those who plan to travel over the area this weekend should stay tuned for later statements and forecasts.

Friday, skies feature morning sun before more clouds entered later in the afternoon. Temps were also warmer, and we’ll continue to see milder conditions tonight with a dusting of snow moving in. Lows will drop between the low to mid teens, with northeast winds around 5 to 15 miles per hour.

Weather Forecast:

Saturday, expect snow to continue leading to an extra 1-4 inches in accumulation. Highs will top off in the upper teens and lower-20s, with northeast winds around 5 to 15 miles per hour.

Tomorrow night, scattered snow showers linger on adding another 1-3 inches of the white stuff. Low temps will bottom out in the low teens, while winds keep at 5 to 15 mph from the E. More snow showers will be around on Sunday bringing our total weekend total between 4-8 inches, as colder air sinks into the region. Have a great weekend!
