Watch for the $2 Bills
In a special promotion, Delta County businesses and residents are asked to watch for $2 bills.
The Island Resort and Casino will present each of the Symetra Tour golfers with one hundred $2 bills as part of their welcome packet when they register to golf in the Island Resort Championship this week.
The idea behind the Delta County Chamber of Commerce promotion is to put some cash into the local economy. That cash injection – if the golfers spend the $2 bills – will be noticeable to businesses.
Golfers will also receive the Chamber’s Keys to Success flyers identifying the businesses providing incentives and discounts to LPGA Futures players.
The group is asking banks and businesses that receive the bills in the coming days to keep them in circulation…giving them out as change so people can see the effect throughout the economy.
