IRON RIVER — A meeting to help get more information to local veterans is set for later this month at Windsor Center Auditorium in Iron River.

Members of the V.A., the Michigan Veterans Affair Agency, and the Iron County Veterans Office are preparing for a Veteran Town Hall breakfast, August fifteenth at ten a.m. to inform Veterans of the different upcoming events and to learn how the Oscar G. Johnson V.A. Medical Center can better serve them.

Williams explains, “Mostly a lot of the things we see now a days, especially with the latest war on terror that we’ve had, is PTSD, related to traumatic brain injury or TBI’s they call it.”

If you’re looking for help and support, the Veteran Town Hall meeting is a place where Veterans and their families and friends will be heard.

Williams said, “Brothers and Sisters, you are not alone. We are out there; we are there to help you. Come in and talk to us, we can find any help you need, and anything you need we can get. So if you’re at home, thinking nobody’s there for you, that’s not the case. Either get in my office, go to the legion, the VFW, AMVETS, any of the Veterans service organizations and they can steer you to get help. But you are not alone.”
