U.P. mourns Orlando victims with vigil

MARQUETTE — Victims of the Orlando shooting are being mourned across the country tonight, including here in the U.P.

Here was the scene at the Marquette Commons. These poignant images courtesy of our reporter, Melanie Palmer, who was in attendance.

It was a two hour candlelight vigil, lasting until 11 p.m. of people of the U.P. gathering to honor those who lost their lives in Orlando, Florida.

Yesterday’s shooting, which left 50 dead and wounded over 50 more, has left American citizens heartbroken. Rainbow flags and rainbow colors made their appearance in Marquette tonight.
