Three Men Arrested on 70 Breaking and Entering Charges

Three men have been arrested in connection with 70 breaking and entering complaints within Chippewa County.

The County Sheriff’s Department says the men were caught in an incident that took place on Christmas Eve.

They attempted a traffic stop on two vehicles that were involved in suspicious activity on the mackinaw trail during the early morning hours that day. 22 year old Timothy Hintz was driving one of the vehicles and fled the scene. A police chase ensued.

Speeds reached in excess of 100 miles per hour during the chase, which ended when Hintz hit a tree. Hintz was arrested for fleeing and eluding, operating while intoxicated and breaking and entering.

A police investigation followed, resluting in the arrest of 25 year old Rial Rabineau and 21 year old Darius Thomas. Both were charged with possession of stolen property and breaking and entering.
