"The Challenge" – Week 11
Each week, Sovereign Communications News/Sports Director Joe Dexter and JT pick a few U.P. High School, Collegiate, and NFL football games. The winner- gets bragging rights for a year- the loser- wears a t-shirt of the winners choice in Marquette for the day.

Calumet at Negaunee
JT: I am very much looking forward to this matchup. Both of these teams run the option offense to near perfection- so expect the defenses to stand out tonight. I know Clark Kangas for Calumet will have 20 tackles….or more. Negaunee won the regular season matchup at Calumet- and I am going to take Negaunee over Calumet by six points.
Joe: This game has excitement written all over it. We saw what happened the first time these two met. I like Calumet here to keep it close and such i need to catch up to jt, im going with the upset. Calumet in a close ballgame
Mancelona at Ishpeming
JT: Mancelona comes to the U.P. undefeated. They will leave with one loss. Ishpeming over Mancelcona
Joe: Both teams have great defenses, but Ishpeming has been tested week in and week out. If they can stay healthy i like their chances . Ishpeming by two scores
MSU vs. Nebraska
JT: After beating Wisconsin in Madison last week, that was the spark that the Spartans needed to get their offense going. MSU over Nebraska
Joe: Nebraska only loses to mobile quarterbacks. Andrew Maxwell isn’t mobile. The Cornhuskers roll Saturday
Michigan at Minnesota
JT: Joe thinks he is a comedian. At least the Wolverines are bowl eligible this year 😉 Michigan over Minnesota
Joe: Michigan must win out up to the final week so it feels that much better when Ohio state beats them. Michigan by a couple scores
Green Bay vs Arizona
JT: The Packers offense struggled last week against Jacksonville- but I don’t expect those struggles against the Cardinals- who can’t decide on a QB week in and week out. Green Bay over Arizona
Joe: “Pack Attack” is back. The machine is well oiled and will get by the cardinals this Sunday Green Bay
Detroit vs Jacksonville
JT: I guarantee that the Lions will 1. score a first quarter touchdown 2. lead at halftime and 3. win the game Detroit over Jacksonville
Joe: Detroit needs this win. No Maurice Jones-Drew makes it a bit easier to go get it. Lions score easily and often in route to a 14 point win
