MARQUETTE — It seems like everyone you meet in Marquette this time of year is a tourist. That includes today’s special visitor, a supreme court justice. Justice David Viviano was in town today with his son, Antonio.

“And we had the honor and privilege of visiting the Jacobetti home. And having a tour with the director,” said Viviano, “I was really impressed to learn that the home is at capacity in terms of the number of beds and number of folks that are being helped here.”

Viviano and his son had plenty planned for this visit to the Upper Peninsula.

“I’ll be attending the Governor’s Luncheon tomorrow. And we have a little reception, as well, for myself. I’m running for office this year for a full term on the Michigan Supreme Court.”

For Justice Viviano and his family, the trip to Northern Michigan will be a mix of fun and business.
