Softball returns to the Superior Dome

Over the next two days, the Superior Dome in Marquette will be turned into two softball fields. The tenth annual Marquette Senior High School ‘Spring Swing’ begins tomorrow.

Sixteen U.P. teams will converge to the dome for their first live action of the season. Twenty four games will take place over the two day span.

For the coaches and players, they get the opportunity to do something other than just practice indoors.

The ‘Spring Swing’ may be the only softball games that teams play for some time. Fields across the U.P. are not yer ready for play, but that won’t change the mindset of coaches heading into the tournament.

The games will begin at 2:30pm on Friday.
