Powell Township Water Leak
The Powell Township water system in Marquette County is asking all customers to use as little water as possible.
A leak in the water system has developed.
Officials say the existing well, storage tank and system are forcing the pumps to run continuously.
They say that although the storage tank has water, it cannot get to a full level because of the leak.
Township officials are working with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and a consultant to track down the leak.
