Parallel Parenting

There’s no training for the job of parenting, and it’s likely to be the toughest job any of us ever have.

Factor in being a parent who is separated, divorced or never married and the job often becomes even more difficult.

A free short–term class entitled “Parallel Parenting” begins tomorrow in Marquette for parents to learn a variety of skills.

Melissa Palomaki from the MGH Women’s and Children’s Center says part of it involves building co–parenting skills that focus on the child, not the relationships.

Parallel parenting classes are free as a service of the center.

They’re held at the Peter White Public Library.

The classes are from 6 pm to 7:30 pm on three consecutive Wednesdays — February 8th, 15th and 22nd.
