NMU Football announces 2013 schedule

MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University football team announces its schedule for the upcoming 2013 season. The 11-game schedule consists of 10 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference games and five home contests at the Superior Dome.

After an open date with an opponent to be determined, the Wildcats host a pair of Ohio opponents. Findlay (Sept. 14) and Ohio Dominican (Sept. 21) visit with Homecoming tabbed for the meeting with the Panthers. The first, and longest, road trip is to Ashland on Sept. 28.

October opens with a home game against Hillsdale (Oct. 5) followed by trips to Michigan Tech (Oct. 12) and Grand Valley State (Oct. 19). On Family Weekend and Band Day, the Wayne State Warriors (Oct. 26) come to the Dome. Northwood (Nov. 2) also travels to Marquette on Senior Day.

A pair of road games at Saginaw Valley State (Nov. 9) and Ferris State (Nov. 16) wraps up the regular season schedule.
