UPDATE: Negaunee hit-and-run accident

An anonymous tip has helped the Negaunee Police Department find a vehicle involved in a weekend hit-and-run.
The accident happened at 2:30 a.m. Sunday in Negaunee on County Road.
Police say the suspect vehicle was traveling westbound on County Road when the driver lost control, left the roadway, hit a fence and some decorative rock.
The suspect vehicle, a silver Subaru Legacy, was found on Empire Street in Ishpeming.
Police say charges will be sought and the investigation is ongoing.

The vehicle left the roadway, striking a fence and some decorative rock. Authorities say the suspect vehicle is a silver Subaru Legacy built between 1999 and 2002. The vehicle is believed to have extensive damage as a result of the accident.
