Library hosts used book sale in Marquette

If you’re looking for a reason to stay inside this weekend and away from the cold weather, the Friends of the Peter White Public Library is holding their semi-annual used book sale.

There was a preview night Thursday, but the sale runs through Sunday evening.  They have a variety of used books, including history, literature and cookbooks.  All books are at a reasonable price.  Hardcover books are $3, and children’s books are fifty cents.  Library Director Pam Christensen said the book sale has special items, such as antique books, signed books or first editions.  Those are priced separately but cost no more than $15.

The books sold are ones that the library does not need in their collection, are outdated or have been donated.

The Sunday a bag of books costs $3.  The sale’s hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
