Island Resort Championship Ticket Sales Now Open

(Harris, Michigan) — Over 80 non-profit organizations in Michigan and Wisconsin have provided the sales force for tickets to the Island Resort Championship at Sweetgrass, now on sale.

Three-day passes are currently available for $10 for the LPGA Futures Tour stop event, held at Sweetgrass Golf Club in Michigan\’s Upper Peninsula June 24-26. Spectators can purchase tickets at the Island Resort and Casino Showroom ticket office, via phone, or from area volunteers that will keep 100% of their sales for their non-profit organization of choice.

Participating non-profit groups selling tickets include the American Red Cross of Delta County, Girl and Boy Scout troops, local school sports teams, YMCAs, and the Eskimo Fan Club, among many others.

\”Everyone can get involved in the Island Resort Championship in a very special way through our non-profit ticket program,\” said Tony Mancilla, championship co-chair. \”All participating organizations have a passion for the event, knowing they can support the LPGA\’s future stars and their causes at the same time.\”

The Island Resort Championship committee received overwhelming response from their call for 501(c)3 non-profit support earlier this year. All organizations received an initial packet of 100 general admission passes for weekend tournament rounds.

Tickets will also be available at the entrance gate during the week of the Championship, a 54-hole stroke play tournament, but the IRC committee encourages spectators to seek community ticket salespersons, first. Those who cannot find a volunteer may visit the Island Showroom ticket office or call 877-ISL-GREEN to purchase tickets via phone.

\”We\’re asking those that call our ticket office to reach out to family and friends with non-profit connections,\” said Mancilla. \”We want to see the entire community fill the gallery, and show the LPGA how unique our people and our region are.\”

The field includes 144 LPGA Futures Tour professional golfers, plus Carley Saint-Onge, an amateur and Marquette High School senior who received local exemption honors. Professionals will vie for prize money from the $110,000 purse.
