House heavily damaged in fire

MARQUETTE — A house in Marquette Township was heavily damaged by a fire late Tuesday night.

The Marquette Township Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Oak Hill Road just after 11:30 p.m.

The roof of the home was destroyed.

No one was injured in the fire.

Marquette Township Fire Chief Ron DeMarse says an electrical malfunction in the attic likely caused the fire.
