Houghton County Child Sex Abuse Case
A Lake Linden man is charged with multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct with a young girl, not even 13 years old.
25–year–old Robert Moilanen stood mute today as three counts of first-degree CSC and one count of second-degree CSC were read by the prosecution.
Moilanen could face up to life in prison if convicted on any of the first-degree counts.
The second-degree charge is a 15-year felony.
The crimes are said to have taken place in Torch Lake Township between 2001 and 2005, when Moilanen was in his late teens.
Because he stood mute, the court entered a plea of not guilty on Moilenan’s behalf.
His case was set for trial in April.
