Homeless man steals vehicle, faces multiple charges
A homeless man who allegedly stole a vehicle was arraigned in Delta County District Court on multiple charges Friday.
Charles Frederick Johnston, 20, is facing five charges: unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle, larceny under $200, fourth degree police officer eluding, operating a vehicle with a suspended license and OWI second offense.
Johnston was arrested Thursday in Gladstone after a vehicle was stolen from Elmers Country Market in Escanaba.
He lodged in the Delta County Jail on a $15,000 cash bond.
