Weekend Weather 4/25-28

Weekend Weather 4/25-28

Rain and snow fell during the morning, giving us a damp and cool end to the work week. However, as we head into the night, temperatures are expected to get even colder.

The cold front that was associated with the precipitation earlier today looks to usher in a cooler air mass during the night and that will bring us a chance of snow after the midnight hour. Winds shift to come from the north around 5 to 10 miles per hour, helping to bring overnight low temps to the low 30s and upper 20s.

Moving into Saturday, a few snow showers will be left over from the moisture departing that morning. Later in the day, though, high pressure will clear the skies out as it settles in. High temperatures under the partly sunny skies reach the lower and middle 30s, while winds really pick up and northeast at 10 to 20 miles per hour.

By tomorrow night, clouds and wind decrease as high pressure begins to move overhead. This will allow overnight lows to drop to the lower and middle 20s and keep us quiet on into Sunday.

Don’t get too comfortable with the drier weather; more rain is set to enter by Monday and sticks around for most of next week.  Enjoy your weekend!
