Escanaba North Shore Redevelopment
Escanaba wants to hear about possible ways to redevelop its North Shore, and 10 companies have sent in proposals of their own.
The city recently asked for the proposals for shoreline property from the lighthouse museum to the mouth of the Escanaba River.
The 10 plans will be narrowed down to 3 in the coming weeks.
The city planning commission will interview company officials behind the top 3 plans in December, and then they’ll make a recommendation to the city council.
The plan is to have a development contract signed by Christmastime so the work can get started in January.
