Drug suspect waives preliminary exam

MARQUETTE — A man charged with two drug felonies waived his preliminary exam in Marquette County District Court Monday morning.

Thirty–eight year old Anre Montgomery of Detroit was bound over to circuit court on two charges of possession of a controlled substance, cocaine.

Members of the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team arrested Montgomery last month after seizing cocaine, ecstasy and cash from Montgomery in a residence on Longyear Avenue in Marquette.

There’s no word yet on when Montgomery will be arraigned in circuit court.
