Crack Cocaine suspects arraigned in district court

ESCANABA — Two people are in trouble with the law after police discovered crack cocaine in their vehicle Saturday evening.

Thirty–nine year old Gilbert Tryan and 58–year–old Sherry Valiquette were both arrested by a deputy with the Delta County Sheriff’s Office.

Tryan is charged with delivery and/or manufacture of cocaine, less than 50 grams. Valiquette faces three charges, including maintaining a drug vehicle.

Valiquette and Tryan were pulled over by police in Ford River Township Saturday at approximately 6:00 p.m. That’s when police found crack cocaine in the vehicle.

Both defendants have preliminary exams scheduled in district court on May 19th.
