Closed Escanaba School For Sale

If for some reason you’ve ever wanted to buy a school, you have a chance to do that in Escanaba.

Ford River Elementary School closed in 2004.

Now the School Board is trying to sell the facility.

It’s taking bids on the old school through April 8th.

The board has already received an offer of $20,000.

The School Board should take that up at its next meeting, which is March 15th.

But since getting that $20,000 offer, the district has received others for more money that that.

Those other offers led the School Board to put it up for auction.
