Car vs. Motorcycle Accident Injures 2

An accident in Ontonagon County seriously injures 2 people this morning.

State Police from the Wakefield Post say it happened at 11:30 this morning in Bergland.

A 62–year–old Bergland woman turned off of M–28 onto the Bergland Township Campground Road.

A motorcycle was also coming down the road toward the highway.

Police say the woman failed to yield the right of way to the bike.

The 42–year–old Calumet man driving the motorcycle could not avoid the car in time.

He hit it, and his 29–year–old female passenger was thrown from the bike.

They were both taken to Aspirus Grand View Hospital in Ironwood with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Both were wearing helmets.

The driver of the car sought her own treatment for minor injuries.
