Campers rock out at Rozsa Center

After two weeks of striking chords and tightening up harmonies, P.J. Olsson’s Rock Camp was ready for their big concert.

Over 1,100 people packed the Rozsa Center for P.J. Olsson’s Rock Camp Concert and the performances were incredible.  The campers paid tribute to some of the greatest acts in music history including Def Leppard, Queen and The Who.

After Dark opened the show and backstage, they showed very little signs of nervousness.

“We were kind of psyched to hear it was sold out so we all were excited and anxious,” After Dark said.

Among the band performances were also a few solo songs that took the crowd’s breath away. But the audience really got into it when The PopKorns took the stage and although they were the youngest group, they definitely were among the best.

“It was such a shock seeing that it was packed and sold out. But when you get out there, it’s such an amazing feeling. You’re rushing and crying in happy tears,” The PopKorns said.

And of course, the show wouldn’t be complete without a performance from P.J. Olsson himself.  But the audience came away from the concert knowing that this community has a young and talented group of future rock stars.
