Breast Cancer Awareness Discussions

 

During Breast Cancer Awareness month during the month of October, Marquette General Hospital is helping the community learn more about the topic.

On Tuesday evenings in October, the four part series called “Dress it Up Pink” shares information on breast cancer.Topics are on survivor-ship, self-care and reducing stress.Each is presented by a leading professional in a specific field of breast cancer.Tonight, the meeting was about the surgical side of breast cancer.

Dr. Ryan Edwards, a general surgeon at Marquette General Hospital spoke at the discussion.He wanted to let people know that cancer treatment can be very complicated. The goal is to give as much information as possible during the meetings.

There is no cost to attend the discussions. They are held in Conference Room 1 at Marquette General Hospital.
