ATV accident results in fatality
ATHELSTANE — One is dead and another is in serious condition after an A.T.V. accident over the weekend.
Marinette County Sheriff’s Department say just before four p.m. Saturday afternoon, dispatch received a call regarding an A.T.V. crash on private property North of Newton Lake in Athelstane.
James Bosanny, 90, was driving the machine with his son, 64 year old James Bosanny as the passenger.
They lost control and hit a tree, ejecting both from the A.T.V. Neither were wearing helmets.
The father was pronounced dead at the scene from massive head and internal injuries.
The son was sent to a hospital in Green Bay for serious injuries.
The incident is under investigation though alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors.
