New store with old treasures opens its doors
MARQUETTE — A new store with antique items has just opened its doors to the public in Marquette.
Birdcage Antiques located just off U-S 41 had a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the store. Employees along with the store owners are thrilled to share their store with everyone in the area. A similar store was previously owned and operated by the same owners in a different location, but once they heard about the space available in Marquette, they couldn’t say no.
“We’ve been in business for ten years and we’ve always wanted to be in the Marquette area, we’ve been in Negaunee and we had the opportunity to move into this space” said Birdcage Antique Owner, Patricia Hennessy.
Both owners are excited to be in a new location and meet more customers in the area. The store offers a variety of products for any shopper, including gently used and even new items.
“It’s Birdcage Antiques and eclectic decor, so not just antiques. We have gifts and different things.”
Anyone who is looking for a one of a kind gift is more than invited to stop by.
