Junior Natalia Lebedeva remained undefeated on the season with an 8-3 victory at No. 1 doubles with partner Dujna Imran Al-Sous and a 6-0, 6-0 No. 1 singles triumph.
No. 2 singles player Kwang Suthijindawong followed suit with a 6-3, 6-1 victory to move to 6-0 on the campaign.
Kira Eck was victorious at No. 3 singles with a 6-2, 6-1 score. Chelsea Uganski and Imran Al-Sous both played up a position in singles, but had no problems in winning their matches in straight sets at No. 4 and 5, respectively.
Audrey Hutton saw her first action of 2012-13 and claimed a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 6 singles.
“We came out a little flat, but were able to fight through that and get the win,” said head coach Kevin Kainec. “It’s always good to get the win, but we’ll need to play better this weekend.”
The Huskies travel to Ohio for three matches starting Friday (Sept. 14) at Ohio Dominican.
