The New Free Store Opens Their Doors Once Again
MARQUETTE, Mich. – The non-profit, interfaith group The New Free Store is open to the community.
The store supports is providing clothes, linens, cleaning, and hygiene supplies to locals with a feeling of “financial burden”.
Shopper Dawn Pegd says, “It helps me out when I can’t afford stuff for my daughter or myself. The workers are fantastic.”
The store use the phrase, “In God’s Economy, There Is Always Enough”
The volunteers and donors embody that phrase with the large amount of donations and providing much needed items.
Volunteer Judy Kitchen says, “We are able to continue to pay for our monthly expenses including the rent and utilities. We are able to purchase to all of those cleaning, hygiene and virus products. Our donors continue to bring us some of those brand new products and bring us the gently used clothing. So it is a wonderful cycle of support.”
The New Free Store is open the first three Wednesdays of each month, 12:00-4:00, and the 4th Monday of each month, 6:00-8:00.
