TruNorth makes donation to Ishpeming Public Schools
ISHPEMING — TruNorth Federal Credit Union has made donation of $1,010 to Ishpeming Public schools, to fund two new water bottle filling stations.
Seth Hoopingarner, Principal of Ishpeming Middle and High school says this is just another example of the support the schools receives from the local community.
Hoopingarner says that this was something that should’ve already been done, but that COVID–19 pushed their hand to do it faster.
“I just gave a call to TruNorth Credit Union and they just showed tremendous support and funded two more bottle fillers for us in this building” Hoopingarner said. “Now we have bottle fillers all around building where students don’t have to drink from the fountain, they can just fill their bottle. It’s obviously much more sanitary to go that route.”
The two new water bottle filling stations are not set to be installed for another couple weeks.
