NorthIron Church continues to make progress during pandemic

ISHPEMING — NorthIron Church continues to make strides toward keeping churchgoers safe, after reopening on May. 31st.

After being open for over a month, the church has been able to adjust and implement multiple safety precautions such as sanitation stations, monitoring attendance, and social distancing inside the church.

Travis Ryan, Assistant Pastor at NorthIron Church says that they’ve installed outdoor speakers and are working on outdoor seating for those who wouldn’t feel comfortable inside the church.

“People have been excited. We’re not focusing on the fear, we’re focusing on spreading this positive message that we have to share,” said Ryan. “Like I said, we’ve heard nothing but positive. People that are choosing to come to services, they’re excited to be back and people that don’t yet feel comfortable, they’re very happy with the options that we have.”

Currently, the church is only holding services at their Ishpeming location at 10 am and 11:15 am on Sundays.
