Little Brothers hosting Thanksgiving dinner

MARQUETTE — Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly will be hosting their 5th annual Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, November 28th.

Little Brothers has been hosting this event every year to help the elderly members of the Upper Peninsula community to not be lonely and feel loved during the holiday season. This year, it will take place at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church in Marquette.

“A lot of the people that we serve our meals to, they don’t have the family meals that most people think of the holidays; sitting down with the family together,” said April Cote, Program Manager at Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly. ” So we provide that family environment and family meal. To the home bound elders, we provide the meal in there home as well as a visit to give them that connection to the community as well as a visit and some family time.
