CALUMET — One Finnish music group are making their way home from FinnFest USA in Detroit and stopping in Calumet for a chance to show some young students their music and heritage.

The group comes from Finlands Folk Music Institute and they will be in the Copper Country to teach the Finnish folk music skills they’ve mastered over their international careers.

2 of the 3 musicians come from the group known as the Tallari. The group lead a pair of workshops for musicians of all ages and skill levels. These workshops got students hands on with different instruments and they were able to learn a few songs and dive into the Finnish heritage.

Tallari will remain in the area to perform a concert at the FAHC on Friday evening, September 27; tickets are only $12 per person. Come early to get your favorite seat.
