IRON RIVER — Four people have been arrested in Iron River for drug–related offenses.

After a month–long investigation, personnel from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at a residence on Blossom Avenue in Iron River.

Given the proximity of the residence to a school, the school was placed on lockdown during the arrest.

Detectives located prescription pills, firearms, and evidence of drug distribution.

Two people were arrested for charges related to drug distribution, while the other two were arrested for probation violation.

Their names are being withheld pending arraignment, and the investigation is ongoing.

County Sheriff’s Department, and Michigan State Police.
