Woman wielding gun makes threats to neighbors, flees in Iron County
ALPHA — On June 7th at approximately 5:50 p.m. the Iron County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a woman brandishing a long gun and making threats to neighbors in the village of Alpha.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officials conducted an immediate search, and recovered the suspected long gun.
After conducting interviews, it was determined that the female suspect had fled on foot.
The incident remains under investigation, and will proceed to the Iron County Prosecutor’s Office for a formal charge filing.
The Iron County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Michigan DNR Law Enforcement Division, and the Michigan State Police.
