Accident involving a bus on County Road 480
CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP — At 3:10 pm on February 1st, 2019, a Marquette Area School bus was struck by another vehicle in Chocolay Township.
The vehicle was traveling east on County Road 480 near Little Lake Road when the school bus failed to yield when entering CR 480. The East bound vehicle collided with the buses front right tire area. One occupant of the bus had minor injuries and sought their own treatment.
The bus sustained minor damage. The vehicle that struck it was disabled and had to be towed from the scene. The driver of the bus was issued a citation for failure to yield. Weather and road conditions are not believed to be a factor.
