High Speed Pursuit in Mellen Township
MELLEN TOWNSHIP — On Monday morning at about 12:50am, Delta County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to assist Menominee County Sheriff’s Deputies who were currently involved in a high speed pursuit.
The pursuit started in Mellen Township, south of Stephenson, and continued on US-2, towards Delta County. Delta County Deputies deployed Stop Sticks in the area of US-2 and County Road 557.
After a tire on the suspect vehicle was deflated, the vehicle pulled over and the occupants were taken into custody. It was found the driver had a revoked license out of WI and was in possession of marijuana. The driver was lodged at the Menominee County Jail.
