AdvantEdge Sports to include basketball training
MARQUETTE — Advantedge Sports Training has hired Mariah LaPointe-Dunham in partnership with Level UP Express Basketball to provide basketball skills training for Upper Peninsula athletes.
Advantedge owner Dustin Brancheau is excited about this new step, “We are excited to get to the level of offering skill based training in addition to our strength and conditioning offerings. It’s only a win win for the athlete who wants to take their basketball game to the next level.”
LaPointe-Dunham recently started her own AAU basketball program, Level UP Express, this past spring for Upper Peninsula girls. The team was loaded with talent with girls from six UP counties. LaPointe-Dunham has over 10 years of coaching experience as well as playing experience at the Division I (University of Wisconsin) and DII (Northern Michigan University) levels.
“Having the gym space for consistent training sessions has been a challenge.” said LaPointe-Dunham. “Advantedge provides the gym space plus all the other tools to create the complete basketball player. We want to get rid of the “good enough” stigma that UP athletes sometimes carry.”
Advantedge Sports Training is located in Marquette, Mich. and owned by Brancheau. For the past 5 years, athletes from around the country have hired Advantedge because of their remarkable ability to improve strength, speed, power, mobility, agility and sport-specific endurance.
The skills training is open to males and females of all ages and levels. If you are interested in getting started please contact Mariah LaPointe-Dunham at 906-201-1024or email at mariahdunham21@gmail.com. For complete offerings from Advantedge visit www.advantedgesports.com or find them on Facebook.
