Tucker hosts local youth football camp
MARQUETTE — Every football player remembers the moment they fell in love with the game. Former Northern Michigan and current Pittsburgh Steeler Marcus Tucker says that moment happened at a youth camp he went to when he was younger. And now he wants to inspire kids that have dreams of playing in the NFL, just like him.
This past weekend, Tucker teamed up with Advant Edge Sports Training to host a summer football camp for local 3rd to 8th graders. Tucker says the camp was all about finding the balance between learning the fundamentals and having fun.
Tucker has been in town for the past couple of weeks getting ready for the Steelers training camp. He said he’s always wanted to host a football camp and this experience has been one of the greatest of his life.
Tucker heads to NFL training camp in Pittsburgh on July 27th.
