Honor Flight headed to Washington D.C. Wednesday
ESCANABA — Wednesday will be a very special day for a group of Upper Peninsula Veterans. They will to Washington D.C. for the day to see the many different memorials that surround our nation’s capitol.
The latest U.P. Honor Flight will depart from the Delta County Airport Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. They will fly to D.C. and your several monuments, including the World War Two, Korean, Lincoln and Vietnam Memorials.
This will be the first time that veterans of the Vietnam War are eligible for the trip. They will return to Escanaba at 8:30 p.m.
