Did you hear? Vegas is coming to Ishpeming
ISHPEMING — If you like the sights and sounds of Las Vegas, you won’t have to go very far this weekend to experience a little bit of Vegas right here in the U.P.
The Greater Ishpeming Negaunee Chamber of Commerce is hosting ‘Vegas comes to Ishpeming’ Saturday night at the River Rock Lanes and Banquet Center. $25 gets each person 50 game tokens to play casino like games.
The gaming tokens can be exchanged for drawing slips, which gives patrons a chance to win a number of different prizes.
“The previous years it’s been done in May, so we’ve moved it up about two months to really play off that St. Patrick’s Day theme and change it up,” said Danielle LaCavalla, GINCC Executive Director. “You can win up to $1,000 from Holiday Travel to go to Vegas or go wherever you like. And we have various other prizes that are valued between $100 and $250.”
‘Vegas comes to Ishpeming’ runs Saturday night from 7:00-10:00 p.m. Party goers will also have access to food, music and other games like cornhole and bowling as part of the entrance fee.
