Structure fire extinguished after reports of smoke
ESCANABA — Emergency crews responded to a structure fire after being alerted of smoke coming from the building.
On Wednesday around 6:30 p.m., Public Safety Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Ludington Street in Escanaba, which is also the location of Escanaba Steam Laundry. Emergency crews were informed there was smoke coming from inside the building.
Upon arrival, officers quickly located the fire and were able to immediately extinguish it. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
